Book: Shadows In The Mist
Comments: I received Shadows in the Mist on Saturday morning and late that evening I finished. I simply could not stop. I am a big fan of Mary Stewart and this style reminded me of her. Loved the flowing writing style (sorry if I use wrong terms - I am not English). It was a real good story, went faster and faster. I hated to see the story end, especially that the romance between Suzie and Grant was not 'extended' a bit more. But you cannot have everything, I guess. I immediately went to my online bookstore to order the next book, but it is not out yet and there is no definite date set. Ms. McMahon, you definitely have a new fan here. Please continue writing in this style.

Book: Shadows In The Mist
Comments: I thoroughly enjoyed SHADOWS IN THE MIST. The title is appropriate. Unlike most, I am not into the sex or language that many writers apparently feel they must use or they have a "nothing" of a story. So, I really did appreciate this book for that reason. But, I simply enjoyed a well written romatic suspense. It didn't take much to figure out that the characters were not as they appeared, but that's okay by me. I am a reference librarian whose brain gets used up on the job. I enjoy books that don't tax me when I'm "off the clock". I especially enjoyed the cat, King Kong, who was really.......? I look forward to RETURN OF THE GULLS. Thanks for a good read!

Comment: In the section of your website entitled Support and Advice, I read then reread the section where it is explained that all writers are different and the good ones write from their heart and have their own style of writing. Comment: I just wanted to send you this letter to tell you how much I LOVED your book, Shadows in the Mist. It's my FAVORITE book. Your book made me laugh and made my eyes well. It made me sweat from being nervous and at times it made a shiver run up my spine! All day after I read your book, I had an urge to read it again and I couldn't stop thinking about it. So eventually, last night, I started from the beginning. I love how you were so descriptive. <snip> I also liked how you put 'shadow' poems at the beginning of each chapter. I liked your book so much I was diasappointed when it had to end. I think it was so good that you could beat J. K. Rowling!
